Do you want to support people to get out of crisis?
Are you well organised and want a new challenge?
Are you able to work alone as well as part of a team?
Our purpose is simple: to open a community ‘grocery’ in Blandford linked to the Food Bank. The grocery will sell good quality, nutritious food to families and individuals with limited disposable income, at a significantly discounted price. Not only will it provide the next stage on from the Food Bank, but also link into the existing wide range of expert support, skills for life, and place of community that Blandford Food Bank+ is building.
The initial purpose of this post is to plan, prepare and launch a community grocery in Blandford United Reformed Church, working closely with the existing Food Bank. It is envisaged that the post will then develop into the Grocery Manager and that the hours will increase as the grocery opens.
