Job Title: Cooking Workshop Coordinator

Hours: 8 hours per week (over 2 days)

Salary: £11.45 per hour (full-time equivalent of £22,030 or pro-rata £4,763), plus 6% employer contribution

Staff Benefits: All staff are offered 3 paid wellbeing days per year (these are in addition to the annual leave allowance)

Contract: Permanent (with 3 months’ probation)

Christchurch Food Bank +, in partnership with Faithworks, provides emergency food to those struggling to provide for themselves or their families across the local area. As a Food Bank+ we also provide access to additional support to empower and upskill people so they can move out of and stay out of crisis long term.

This role is an exciting and unique opportunity to lead, shape and coordinate the cookery workshops at Christchurch Food Bank +, supporting people to grow skills and confidence in cooking well for themselves and their household on a budget.

This role will comprise of 4 hours preparation (shopping, meal planning and recruiting attendees) and 4 hours managing the cookery sessions.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about cooking and sharing that passion to help others to learn to cook
  • A good communicator
  • Highly organised
  • Patient
  • Self-motivated and has the ability to work on their own initiative
