Thank You BCARS Volunteers!
Over the last year in Bournemouth we have seen amazing growth in the number of volunteers wanting to get alongside rough sleepers… 344 to be precise!!
A celebration and challenge event was held to say thank you to all those involved & recognise the difference we are making through our 4 projects:
- 1) Half Time
- 2) Sleepsafe
- 3) 2nd Half a) Training kitchen b ) Carpenters’ Worshop
- 4) Buddies
Our project Sleepsafe finished on 1/04/19 after 5 months of supporting rough sleepers in our churches across the town. 61 People accessed the project, 78% (48) were supported into move-on accommodation, which is brilliant! Thank you again for your amazing support.
However there is a challenge: How do we maintain the interest and momentum for this work post Sleepsafe? Here’s how:
We have a number of different volunteer placements across our projects plus 2 other areas we need help on including admin & logistsics. So we are asking you to express your interest NOW to to see if you can help us ensure this work continues and grows.
For more information or to give an expression of interest in this vital work, please contact the team on email@example.com.
